An excellent EAL friendly, well-resourced and developed History lesson which looks to introduce students to Medieval understanding of disease and possible treatments based on information from the time period. The main activity looks to reveal to students the difficultly in making a judgement on which types of diseases were treated with the cures at the time, based on down right ridiculous Medieval beliefs!
Great as a follow up to the Black Death or as a precursor lesson.
SMSC has been considered with reflection opportunities within the main activity, such as should doctors morally treat ALL patients regardless of social status?
This lesson can also be used for a possible observation/interview or where students do not have their own books, as stand alone work booklet for students is provided.

Excellent print and go resources and PowerPoint, which looks to explore Biomes and help students categorise different types of Biomes, various climates, animals and plants that live within them. The main 28 minute activity includes a carousel with key information (rain forests, Tundra, Desert and Tropical Oceans) that students must contemplate and then consolidate on a worksheet. Also included is a 10 minute extension diary task and starter with a plenary. More than enough for an hour lesson!

An introductory lesson to Jack the Ripper and his brutal murders during the Victorian period. This lesson can be used as a precursor to a Victorian Crime Unit of Study or a series of lessons examining the murders of Jack the Ripper, starting with the victims.
The main task is collaboration based and asks students to investigate each of the victim and infer what we can learn about the Murderer from the details of his/her victims.

This worksheet and activity lesson is an in-depth analysis of Queen Elizabeth l's Middle way and her legacy as Queen of England. Students will examine some of the early problems of her reign, with a key focus on the clash between Catholics and Protestants and the solutions she came up with.
