1. A word mat containing all the spellings in the Year 3 and 4 National Curriculum word list. It can be laminated for pupils to have with them as they work or for homework purposes. Pupils can be encouraged to use these words regularly in their writing.

3. A set of 15 spelling challenge worksheets to accompany the PowerPoint. Tasks include finding words on the using a variety of criteria. For example, all the words containing 'ei', all the words with double letters etc. Other tasks include placing the words in alphabetical order, writing sentences containing the words, practise spellings using the look, cover, write and check method and making their own mnemonics for words they have difficulty in spelling.
The resources can be used as a series of lessons on spelling, as lesson starters or for homework purposes.
