En ville-Places around town is a slide show presentation of places in a town used to introduce the nouns with the articles.

This cover work is a support sheet for an end of year or end of unit task on My family-Ma famille. As well as the support for the written task and the dialogue task there is a sheet of activities including gap-fill, recognition of words and sentence structure, translation, find the French and a wordsearch. I have used this for cover work and also for when I am assessing students spoken French as students can work independently through the tasks.

Hobbies-Mes passe-temps is designed to practise using infinitive constructions, j'aime+infinitive verb. Starting with sentence structure and building to translation and a writing task along with useful connectives and time phrases.

Freetime-loisirs starters are designed to get the class thinking about the topic and revise verbs and grammar. Translation activity and a verb recognition activity, they can be used as single starters just taking one or two at a time or you could give them all at once depending on your class.

Months-Les mois is a calendar with a different verb for each month, allows students to practise verb conjugations and then write sentences, research other verbs and revise months.

Les saisons-Seasons bookmarks is a sheet of bookmarks used to teach the weather, students complete the weather types to the seasons, can then be used as bookmarks or display.

En ville is designed for students new to French year 6 or 7. There is a gap fill activity, a word snake and vocabulary list. Students start to recognise words and the articles that go with them. I have used this as a two different starters, and you could do this with any year group as a bit of revision.

The partitive article-du, de la, de l', des - Grammar training, is a grid for students to complete with foods and reinforce the importance of learning with each noun the masculine, feminine and recognise vowels and plurals. Comparatives and superlatives is a powerpoint designed to present how to use them in simple terms. I have used this with year 8 students and also as a revision with year 9 and 10 preparing for GCSE.

La chasse au tresor- treasure hunt is an activity to raise student awareness and use the posters and display that are in the classroom. You could adapt the questions to suit your classroom, do this as an activity with a new class to get them to actually look around and see how useful and supportive the displays are.

Christmas dinner bookmarks has one bookmark for each course of a typical Christmas dinner. Can be used as a translation activity, students can make and decorate their own versions, improve dictionary skills by looking up unknown words or confirm their own deductions. What should my year 7 Spanish students know by the end of year 7? I asked this question and made a list of all the topics covered over the year. There is also a writing task/project and a support sheet to help students to review and revise thier first year of learning Spanish. This is a helpful end of year consolidation task which allows you to assess where your students are and diagnose where they need support to be prepared for year 8.
