I have created this escape room for the end of year, to still be able to have students working but to do something a bit more fun with them. The escape room has 10 puzzles that students have to solve. Give them the first one and check that they have the correct code, then keep giving them in order as they complete each one. The topics that the 10 puzzles cover are: Food Clothes Means of transport Body parts Mix (family, personality, what you do at the weekend using near future tense) Hair & eyes Connectives and time expressions Town and region The time Mix (general knowledge of vocab such as pets, animals, subjects, verbs, etc). It is an ideal activity for years 7 and 8. It could also work with some year 9 groups (mixed ability, bottom sets). This resource includes: A Power Point presentation (for teachers) to show students with information about the festival of Las Fallas (Valencia, Spain). In the Power Point students will learn about the origin, the building of the structures and the most important events taking part place during the festival. There are 15 activities for students to complete, including genuine reading, listening (through videos) and translation into both English and Spanish. It is an editable document and all answers are embedded. Some extension work provided. There is also a homework task. This is a knowledge organiser I have created for my A-Levels students on the topic of family. We use Edexcel and we study this topic only for Spain, so there are no references to Hispanic America. However, the resource is editable. I would recommend printing this resource in A3, although it could also work on A4, but a lot smaller. On one side of the document students find all the notes and information they need to know about how the concept of family has changed throughout the years. This is a vocab sheet for Module 1 (Viva 1 - textbook) and a few revision worksheets. This resource contains the following: Page 1 >> crossword on animals and pets. Page 2 >> an activity to translate a few personality traits and then find them in a word search. There is also an activity on numbers (fill in missing letters) and an extension on numbers too (complete a sequence of numbers in Spanish. Page 3 >> Students translate months of the year and days of the week. Page 4 >> Translation: students complete a table and have to translate Spanish to English or viceversa.
