Please note: These are single lessons and most require the use of the ‘Religion and Ethics Through Christianity’ textbook by Gordon Reid and Sarah K Tyler, Oxford University Press, 2016. Hello, I have created these lessons for the Edexcel GCSE RS Spec B ‘Religion and Ethics through Christianity’ topic 4 ‘Matters of Life & Death’. Each lesson contains starter task, core knowledge, activities, exam questions, scripture, Stretch & Challenge activities. Edexcel’s Scheme of Work recommends that we spend 2 hours on each subtopic so most are double lessons. However these can be condensed into 1 lesson if required. I had to do this with my current year 10s as I needed to fast track them whereas my year 9s have double the time. The lessons are based on the textbook written by Reid and Tyler - this is needed for some lessons. I have also included a double sided key knowledge revision sheet and Personal Learning Checklist.
