Automation in Work - SMSC/ PSHE Form Time Activity or Assembly

This Powerpoint is planned for the SMSC form group activity but can also be used in an assembly. It will be sent to all forms in the school and sixth form so it is suitable for years 7-13. Students are invited to discuss their job prospects and how technology could impact this in the coming years. What can they do to prepare for this? There is a 10 minute video exploring how technology has impacted jobs and how it will continue to do so. The last reflection task links back to British Values.

Hello, These lessons are designed for topic 4 'Matters of Life and Death' in the New Edexcel GCSE 'Religion and Ethics Through Christianity'. There are 2 as I have 2 hours per week however they can be condensed into 1 (which is what I have had to do to fast track my year 10s). The knowledge is based upon the book endorsed by the board written by Reid and Tyler (2016) but it is not needed for these lessons. TEXTBOOK is needed for this lesson. Lessons include starter activity, learning objectives, progress checks, exam questions, reference to scripture and denominations if applicable. If you have any questions please do ask and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. Kind regards, Mel
