Industrial Revolution - North and South Episode 1 (BBC)(2004) Questions
This is a great task for students to complete at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution unit or a great lesson for a casual/sub teacher. North and South is available (in Australia) on Clickview Online or, of course, DVD.
These questions are meant for Episode One and are the great basis of a discussion of factory and worker conditions, the differences between the classes, living conditions in an Industrial Town and the differences between industrial centres and rural life. The other three episodes also contribute to this, and this resource should obviously be used in conjunction with other resources for a well-rounded unit.
Included:
1 PDF of 20 questions for the miniseries episode.

This is a great summative activity for a mixed ability class and can be used alongside other resources easily. I have also left this for a casual/sub teacher and it has gone really well. It could also be used at the beginning of a topic for a high ability class to see what prior knowledge the students have.
