This pack on healthy eating includes a 5-page workbook, a 9-page ‘own habits log’, a document with suggestions for use and differentiation, the Eatwell Guide illustration itself, picture cards and word cards. Throughout, learners are reminded of what food and drink items contribute to healthy nutrition and therefore a balanced diet. Follow this up by letting them work through the workbook and study the different categories of food and drink, the good and the bad… Project: Learners can then move on to completing their own personal log by reflecting on their nutritional intake, working out the percentage of how many items in each category they consume on average and how their own Plate would look if they drew the segments according to their own diet. Time for reflection… ‘Eatwell Guide’ with Thanks to Public Health England - This guide is published by Public Health England to advise on healthy nutrition and balanced food and drink intake.
