A very basic introduction to Microsoft Excel for KS2. Students are introduced to the terms 'cell', 'row' and 'column' and then have to solve a hidden message. They then have to complete basic sums using formulae.

A summary sheet, intended to be printed on A3, that covers the Restoration England topic on the Great Plague (from the new GCSE unit, Restoration England: 1660-1685). Students should use the text book to complete the tables, gap fill exercises, notes and questions. All answers are in the text book. After this lesson the students will need to explore the impact of the Plague.

Detailed handout on Elizabeth's relationship with Scotland during her reign. Also included is a map of Europe that highlights the religious state of Europe at this time. This is a concise handout that will be useful for all students studying the Later Tudor period and Elizabeth I. It is perfect as an alternative to the text book, particularly for revision. A card sort activity showing the decline of relations between Charles II and Parliament during his reign. Each card gives an example of something that caused tension between the two sides. Students can sort the cards using the instructions on page 2 of the resource. They can then use the cards to answer an exam style question. This is designed for the new AQA GCSE topic: Restoration England, 1660-1685; however, it could be adapted for any KS4/KS5 topic on Charles II.

Resources relating to the new GCSE specification. These resources relate to the Church's involvement in medicine. Students need to fill in the gaps (answer sheet provided) using the blue Hodder text book.

Based around two units from a Year 7 SOW focusing on Norman England (this can be found in my shop). Students are given a range of 1 or 2 mark knowledge questions on dates/names/events/definitions associated with The Battle of Hastings and Norman England. This form of assessment would be in addition to knowledge and source essays to practise the skills required for studying History. Also included is a sheet with answers to all of the questions. The test is 35 questions long (35 marks).

A fun task that instructs students to create a table based on the 2016 music chart. Students need to follow a link to the Official Charts Company's website where they then need to input data into a table they have created using Microsoft Word. Students then have to follow the instructions to edit their chart (alignment, shading, gridlines etc.) This is a useful resource for KS2/3 pupils who are being introduced to Microsoft Word.

This resource is relevant to the new AQA GCSE specification on Restoration England, 1660-1685; however, it could be adapted for KS3 or A Level. A label exercise with questions on the changing court fashions during Charles II's reign. Students are presented with two images (taken from WikiCommons, open access) and have to label the images using the correct terminology. Students will then need to explain the transition of court fashions across Charles' reign and identify the reasons for this change.

A gap fill exercise (with answers) on the Great Plague of 1665. This resource is relevant to the new AQA GCSE specification on Restoration England, 1660-1685; however, it could be adapted for KS3 or A Level. Students will learn about the perceived (and actual) causes of the plague and will explore the methods used by government, apothecaries and everyday people to cure it. They can then go away and learn about the impact that the plague had on London and England as a whole.

A one-page fact file on Robert Hooke to be used as part of the new AQA GCSE topic: Restoration England, 1660-1685. This resource is intended to supplement the information in the Hodder text book. A lesson/homework activity could be to set comprehension questions based on the fact file or to ask students to find out more information using the internet. Another idea is to split the room into two and have a debate as to who had a greater impact on Restoration culture, Hooke or Sir Christopher Wren (see other fact file). This is not intended to be comprehensive; it is simply a succinct summary for students that need to be stretched beyond the information in the text book. A graph plotting activity based on the '7 steps' of parliamentary relations during the reign of Charles II. Students need to read the Hodder text book and assess each phase; they then need to plot on the graph whether they think the relationship between Charles and Parliament was positive or negative. This resource is relevant to the new AQA GCSE specification on Restoration England, 1660-1685. It is intended to be purchased as part of a wider bundle.

Two worksheets for KS3/KS4 to encourage students to analyse/evaluate visual sources. The content relates to the Suffragettes and the sources show the Women's Suffrage movement in a positive and negative light. Students are tasked with describing the sources, picking out key symbols and inferences. The grid would be a useful group activity where students can analyse the pictures in groups and rotate these every few minutes; the postcard task can then be set for homework.

A glossary for anyone studying the Late Tudor Period. This would be suitable for any GCSE or A Level course and could be turned into a revision activity or simply used for reference. A revision worksheet and matching gap fill for anyone studying Hitler's Foreign Policy 1933-1938. This corresponds to the current AQA GCSE History B specification, however it can also be adapted for any board or age level. Please rate and leave feedback!

A number of worksheets (ideal for classwork or homework) relating to weather and climate. These are designed to be used alongside the Geog.2 text book, but can also be used independently. Resources relating to a Year 7 Geography lesson on sketch maps. Included alongside the lesson plan is a PowerPoint presentation. Students have to review the features of a map using the coloured pages in their books and sketch maps are then introduced. As an activity/homework, students create their own sketch maps of a theme park, adding in various symbols and making it visually appealing/informative. I printed off a couple of maps of Alton Towers/Thorpe Park to pass around the class (as shown on the PowerPoint), so students could see the level of detail (or lack of it) they needed.

Students will examine a timeline of Stalin's rise to power and must answer relevant questions. This was intended for the AQA GCSE History B Topic: Stalin's Russia, 1924-1941; however, it can easily be adapted for any GCSE or A Level topic on Stalin's rise to power.

A handout created in support of the Edexcel AS Level unit: The Unification of Italy, 1830-1870. Included is a revision diagram showing the 8 stages of Italian unification, from 1792 to 1870. Students can use their class notes or a text book to complete a summary of each event that led to a 'changing Italy'. Pupils are presented with 3 of Charles's mistresses and must put together a summary of their titles, influence, characteristics etc. More able students may even be able to put the affair into context, explaining why it was so significant or shocking.
