The resources are aimed at level 3 BTEC Health and Social Care students. The presentation contains activities and information on how to complete the P8 & M6 assessment criteria which relates to managing and sharing data between professionals within a health and social care setting.
I have included a research task and students can relate their own experiences from their placements.
The attached resources are aimed at students who are studying Level 2 BTEC Child Development.
The resources contain a power point presentation along with a template and model answer which helps guide students on how to structure their coursework.
Level 3 BTEC
Within this bundle you find resources for all the assessment criteria from P1-P8 along with the merit and distinction tasks.
Each task contains a variety of worksheets and power point presentations including: help sheets/lessons/activities/case studies/information/missing words etc.
All of these resources have been created to help students prepare their own independent coursework assessments.
My own students have thoroughly enjoyed this unit of work as it has allowed them to share their own experiences as well as learn something new for their own studies in health and social care.

This revision poster is aimed at A-Level Law students who are revising for a test/exam.
It prompts 3 key areas from: Offer and Acceptance/Consideration/Intention.
Students can use to the pictures to help them remember the cases and legal rules.
My students thoroughly enjoyed this as a revision activity.
Print this out on A3 Poster Paper so students have plenty of room to come up with their ideas.
The resources are for Level 3 BTEC Health and Social Care students.
The resources cover the material for P6/M5 which relates to "Multi-Agency Working". The lesson and booklet provides students with a framework which sets them up so that they can independently start their coursework assignment.
There are 4 worksheets, each looking at algebra in a different way. They are aimed at Key stage 3 maths but could also be used for lower ability sets in key stage 4. Each sheet could be used as a homework, an in class task (roughly 30 minutes) to consolidate learning or put together as a revision booklet. The first sheet involves algebra chains and working out the missing values to move down the chain. The second uses various grids to work on algebra multiplication. The third uses area and perimeter of shapes to work on multiplication and addition of algebra. The final sheet simply has expanding brackets questions on it as well as some helpful diagrams. All four sheets get more difficult the further down them you go.
Unit 1 Changing Awareness of Crime
Learning Outcome 1: Understand how crime reporting affects the public perception of criminality
This case study activity sheet is a good reflection activity for students to complete once the first three assessment criteria have been covered. It allows students to apply their learning to real-life case studies.
These resources are aimed at health and social care students. This lesson can be tailored to suit levels 1-3.
The resources contain: missing words, videos, diet plans and an eat well plate that students can cut and stick in. The final activity allows students to plan a nutritional diet from a choice of service users with different dietary needs e.g. diabetes/CHD etc.
I have delivered this lesson to both key stage 4 and adult learners. Both groups thoroughly enjoyed the lesson activities.
This lesson is for A Level Law students which covers the key aspects of Privity of Contract. The lesson gives advice on how to tackle an exam question on this area of law.

My students find this particular area of law difficult to remember so I have created these notes to help them re-call the key points from both Acts of Parliament.
I have also included some key evaluation points to help them answer essay questions.
The Criminology resources are aimed at Level 3 students. They cover:
Learning Outcome 2: Understand how campaigns are used to elicit change
AC2.1: Compare campaigns for change
The exam board expect students to compare a minimum of at least 5 campaigns for change. Here I have covered 4 campaigns for change which act as good models to set students up with their own research.
There is an activity sheet (I printed this out in poster format so that students could fill it in as we went through the campaigns in lesson) that details how to tackle each campaign. It is important to note that students must break down each campaign by discussing:
What it was about/what started it
The purpose of the campaign
Whether or not it was successful
What other campaigns it can be linked to
This is a bundle of all the teaching resources you would need for Unit 1 (the controlled assessment) of the Level 3 course.
The resources provided are for Level 3 students studying Criminology (Eduqas/WJEC spec).
The materials provide booklets, answer plans, activities and much more to teach the whole of Unit 1 with.
Most lessons contain a power point and booklet for students to write in. I personally, use the booklets to keep track and ensure that students are doing what they should be. As you can’t mark student work until the end of the controlled assessment period- this really has helped me to track student progress. I get students to hand in their booklets after I have finished teaching each assignment criteria. This ensures that they are doing their independent research outside of lesson.
If you are teaching this for half the year, this provides you with effectively 6 months of teaching resources and it works out cheaper to buy the bundle rather than paying for each lesson individually.

Learning Outcome 1: Understand the Process of Criminal Investigations
AC1.3 Explain How Evidence is Processed
The resources cover how evidence is processed. I got students to research x1 extra to show they have developed their own personal understanding of evidence and not simply churning out what is in the textbook. We looked at processing “dirt” and I referred them to the Soham Murders case.
The booklet can be used in lesson and then the student can use it to equip them when writing up their controlled assessment. I tend to send the booklet power point to reprographics and they staple it into a booklet format for me :)
This power point is what i use on open days to quickly run through with parents and potential students. It explains what Criminology is and how the course is broken down. I do a quick and fun “sample activity” at the end to give students an insight into the course.
I have found this useful -rather than explaining to each person what Criminology is.

AC1.4 Examine the Rights of Suspects in Criminal Investigations
The resources cover PACE 1984 and look at the influence of the Human Rights Act and how there must be a balance between police powers and civil liberties. I covered the rights of suspects with students and got them to research witnesses and victims in their own time.

The resources include:
A short lesson introducing different ideas on how a jury can be affected during their decision making.
A short booklet for students is also included to help them set out their work for the controlled assessment.
An independent activity sheet that helps to guide students on where to look for key influences.

Having spent many teacher-led lessons on this unit, I decided to switch up tactics and make the students do some research and work of their own. These lesson resources helped to give me a breather as well as set my students up on the right track.
Giving them some ideas on case studies to use that are not included in the text book has really helped them to vary their work (rather than just regurgitating what is in there already).

The resources include a lesson power point and a booklet that students can use to take notes in.

AC 2.3 Understand Rules in Relation to the Use of Evidence in Criminal Cases
This lesson looks at the rules that govern the use of evidence during the court trial process. A lesson power point and student booklet has been provided so that students can follow along by taking part in the written tasks/activities.
The lesson resources address the following objectives:
*Explain the rules of evidence in relation to relevance and admissibility
*Describe the rules on disclosure of evidence (and exceptions to the rules on hearsay evidence)
*Support your answers with legislation and cases

This lesson looks at the trial procedure and addresses the following objectives:
*Identify the key criminal courts involved in a trial process

*Describe the bail process and plea bargaining

Learning Outcome 1: Understanding the Criminal Justice System in England and Wales
Assignment Criteria 1.2: Describe the Organisation of the Criminal Justice System in England and Wales
I have included a power point that illustrates the relationships between the main agencies within the CJS. I have set this out in mind map format so that students can make the ‘relationship connections’ in a fun way. They can either create their own or use the templates I have provided. I have modelled four of the agencies to demonstrate what they need to do. I have told my students that they need a mind map/flow chart for each agency as an exam question could come up on any one of them.
I have also included homework tasks and exam questions.
