(CONDITIONAL SENTENCES) Suitable for KS2 (as the lesson is fully differentiated 3 ways) This lesson is designed as a standalone grammar/sentence skills lesson. However it would also fit neatly into a grammar or narrative unit based on sentence construction.
Children will learn about the special sentence type, practice writing them as a class, before completing independent work containing them. Fully differentiated 3 ways. Where possible, all resources and PowerPoint's are fully editable.

**My hugely popular lesson, completely updated and redesigned for the New Year. **
Children will discuss and reflect on their achievements to date. They will discuss what resolutions are, and why we make them at New Year.
They will then go on to plan and write a structured letter to themselves, setting out their hopes and ambitions for the year. They will also make one firm ‘Promise’ or resolution.
The letter can then be opened at a later, specified date.
A fully detailed PowerPoint is included - that also sets out a structure for the letter. Scaffolds, a writing frame and a model letter are also included.
