This reading comprehension resource contains two booklets. Story title - A Rainbow. Ideal for end of term assessment. Useful as a task for children to be getting on with as an independent activity. Booklet 1 - 18 questions - The questions are at the end of the text. Booklet 2 - 14 questions - The questions are in sections. Reading comprehension tasks cover: Questions on the text to be answered. This resource relates to spring CVC word work. There are three different activities for students to review letter sounds and to decode and read CVC words and practise reading sight words in sentences. Content: Worksheets: Short A to E: Spring Word and Picture Match Worksheets A to E: Read Simple Sentences and Writing Worksheets 1 - 3: Missing Letters in CVC Words Spring Word and Picture Match (with Answers) In this activity, students draw lines to match up the CVC pictures on the flowerpots to the words on the flowerheads. Read Simple Sentences and Writing Each worksheet contains sight words which the students should read and then read the simple sentences filling in the CVC words in the sound boxes that matches the pictures.
