Students read the text and answer 5 questions. Students are required to look for the answers in the text, tick true or false statements and say why, write full answers and make a list.

A set of worksheets for children to practise spelling and writing words that have the same rime ending. The children can practise reading sight words and decodable words.
This practical resource contains cut and paste worksheets of 29 onset/rime words.
**The worksheets are differentiated. There are 29 worksheets in each set. **
Onset and Rime 1 Worksheets - The cut/paste activity is in two parts. The student cuts out, sorts and then sticks each letter in the correct order to spell what the picture is.

Each of the four worksheets contain a variety of tasks for students to complete on the topic of buying school stationery.
Worksheet 1 - Students look at the pictures and price of each item and then work out how much two items of school supplies cost.
Two questions at the bottom: Which student spent the most? Which student spent the least amount of money?
Worksheet 2 - This worksheet is similar to the above except students add three items of stationery together.
Worksheet 3 - Students answer 6 questions about the items, e.g. Which item is the most expensive? How much less does the eraser cost than the calculator? etc.
The next task is to write the new price for each item which has risen by 10 cents.
Worksheet 4 - The first task is to write the new price of the items which have risen by 20 euro cents. Second task - to add up 3 items of stationery at the new price.
Worksheet 5 - Biggest Euro Sale Now On! - Students reduce the price of each item by 11 cents. They then recalculate the items of stationery bought.
Additional worksheets:
Drawing coins to match the price tags - students use the fewest number of coins as many times as they can.
Add up the coins and write the total on the price tag for each object shown.
Challenge: Students add up all the prices on the tags and write the total amount of money spent.

Students can choose any of the final consonant blends to complete the words below the boxes. Once they have made word, the students draw a picture to go with the word because two words can be made with be__ , i.e. best or bend. Both are correct as they are real words.
• Colouring activity – Which Word? (3 worksheets)
Students sound out the word that goes with the picture in the centre and then colour the correct word that goes with the picture.
As an extension activity, on a separate sheet, students can write a sentence with the words that are not coloured in.
• Differentiated Cut and paste activities (4 worksheets)
The first set of worksheets do not contain pictures.
Students cut out the ending blends and match it to the correct starting letters to make a word.
When they have made a word, they write out the word neatly on the handwriting lines.
Some of your students may need pictures to help them join the ending blends to the letters to make a word. For each word the students make, they can sound out the letters.

The worksheets reinforces the use of the adverbs.
Worksheet 1: Adverbs of Place Cloze Activity. Students choose a suitable adverb to complete the eight sentences. The adverb that was not used to complete the sentences, the students write their own sentence with that left over adverb in the space provided.
Worksheet 2: Adverbs of Place Sentence Sort Worksheet (with Answer Sheet)
Students sort out the jumbled words so that the sentence make sense placing the adverb at the end of the sentence.
Worksheet 3 – Adding -where or -ward at the end of adverbs of place.
Students will see a list of beginning words of adverbs. They should complete each word writing either ‘where’ or ‘ward’ at the end. E.g. if the beginning word is no ____, the student completes the word with ‘where’ to make nowhere. There is a total of 9 words to complete.
Once Task A is done, students complete Task B – write 3 sentences with the adverbs ending in -where and 3 sentences ending in -ward.
Worksheet 4 – Read and Answer Worksheet (with Answer Sheet).
You could pair up students for this activity. First, they read each sentence. Then they answer the question Where? and write down the adverb of place.
Word Search (with Solution) – Students find the words listed that go across and down.
Suggested use with flashcards to increase vocabulary.
Shuffle a selection of cards - ask a student to pick one. Whichever card is picked, show to the whole class or a small group of students to make up a sentence with that adverb of place.

Worksheet 1 - Sw Blend Matching Words to Pictures - Children complete the words and then draw lines to match words to pictures.
Worksheet 2 - Sw Cloze exercise - Children read and fill in the missing words in the sentences. Second part of worksheet - unscramble the words in the sentences.
Extension: Worksheet 3 - Jumbled sentences and punctuation. Children work out the simple sentences and punctuate accordingly.
2 Word Searches with pictures.
You can combine the set of pictures and words with the other resources I have created on initial consonant blends - creating a set of pictures and words for group activities.
In small groups, I put different pictures and words from previous laminated material for children to sort into rhyming groups, e.g. swot-plot-clot-snot-slot words/pictures.
