I am a science teacher passionate about teaching Earth Science, Geology, Geography and Oceanography and sharing my science material/products to a wider audience. My main focus is middle and high school, but since ability levels and needs vary widely, materials found in my shop may be useful to students from other grade levels. I am also selling my educational resources on TpT website but under a different name, so in case you see the same resources there, it doesn't mean that they were copied.

Tarsia Puzzle: ASIAN COUNTRIES AND CAPITALS (2 Puzzles) In this activity, students will practice matching all 48 Asian countries with their capitals, as they piece together the pieces of each tarsia puzzle. Students will match their answers with a separate puzzle piece until all the countries have ‘found’ their capital and the puzzle is completed. These GEOGRAPHY TARSIA PUZZLES are a FUN way for students to practice their multiplication facts that doesn’t involve a worksheet. The puzzle activity works well for individuals, as well as small groups. Alternatively, you can set up stations around the room, and have students or groups rotate to each station for a new math puzzle/game. This resource includes: 2 different tarsia puzzles; one with 30 countries and the another one with 18 countries 2 answer keys Teacher directions List of Countries Included: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Yemen. FREE Bathroom Passes If you are (extremely) tired of letting students go to the bathroom every time they are bored or “need” to check their phones, bathroom (restroom) passes may be the way to go about it. You can decide how many passes to give your students a quarter for them to use when necessary (I suggest 3-5). If they use less than the number given, you can potentially allow them to turn them in by the end of the quarter for extra credit. You may want print the restroom passes on different colored paper for each quarter and keep a jar or folder of used passes just in case someone comes back later and wants to say they didn’t use theirs. In case you want to be more organized, you can use the attached chart/table to keep track on how many passes each students have used at any given time. I hope these passes will reduce the frequency of your students bathroom visits. Please leave a feedback if you have ideas on how to improve the use of the passes… :-)

Students fill in the video worksheet while watching Bill Nye the Science Guy. Watching a video is no longer a passive activity!! The video questions are relatively easy to answer while watching the video and are not so complicated that they require a great deal of writing. An ANSWER KEY is included with this product. The worksheet is printable, and NO prep is required. I have also included a QR code link to the video. This means that students can do the worksheet on their own even if they are absent.
