I am a science teacher passionate about teaching Earth Science, Geology, Geography and Oceanography and sharing my science material/products to a wider audience. My main focus is middle and high school, but since ability levels and needs vary widely, materials found in my shop may be useful to students from other grade levels. I am also selling my educational resources on TpT website but under a different name, so in case you see the same resources there, it doesn't mean that they were copied.

NORTH AMERICA & CAPITALS: Tarsia Puzzle

Tarsia Puzzle: NORTH AMERICAN COUNTRIES AND CAPITALS In this activity, students will practice matching the names of 24 North American countries with their capitals, as they piece together the pieces of each tarsia puzzle. Students will match their answers with a separate puzzle piece until all the countries have ‘found’ their capital and the puzzle is completed. These GEOGRAPHY TARSIA PUZZLES are a FUN way for students to practice their multiplication facts that doesn’t involve a worksheet. The puzzle activity works well for individuals, as well as small groups. Alternatively, you can set up stations around the room, and have students or groups rotate to each station for a new math puzzle/game. This resource includes: 1 tarsia puzzle with 24 countries 1 answer key Teacher directions List of Countries Included: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago, United States (USA) and Puerto Rico (USA). Suggestions for using this resource: Print multiple copies of each tarsia puzzle and place the pieces in separate plastic bags for safekeeping. Print the puzzles on colored paper if you find the black and white version too “dull”. Print the puzzles on large sized paper, if you want the pieces to be extra large. Laminate the puzzle pieces BEFORE your students cut them out. It will allow you to use them for years to come. Code the backside of each puzzle piece, so it is easier to find which plastic bag they belong to in case they get mixed up with other pieces. WHO ARE YOU? Back to School Questionnaire This is a short and easy back to school questionnaire you can give to your students as a way for you to get know them at the beginning of a new school year. Students will be encouraged to share different aspects of their lives with you and you may learn some few things about each of your students which you can use to build relationships with them later on. This version is geared towards middle school or high school students, but feel free to amend the questions to fit your student cohort. Happy Teaching!
Bathroom Passes (FREE)

Bathroom Passes (FREE)

(0)
FREE Bathroom Passes If you are (extremely) tired of letting students go to the bathroom every time they are bored or “need” to check their phones, bathroom (restroom) passes may be the way to go about it. You can decide how many passes to give your students a quarter for them to use when necessary (I suggest 3-5). If they use less than the number given, you can potentially allow them to turn them in by the end of the quarter for extra credit. You may want print the restroom passes on different colored paper for each quarter and keep a jar or folder of used passes just in case someone comes back later and wants to say they didn’t use theirs. In case you want to be more organized, you can use the attached chart/table to keep track on how many passes each students have used at any given time. I hope these passes will reduce the frequency of your students bathroom visits. Please leave a feedback if you have ideas on how to improve the use of the passes… :-)
