This resource allows the class teacher to lead a session whereby: -children practise making inferences using a funny picture -children read chapters 26-27 of the Land of Roar children work as a class to infer character feelings children consider/explain how characters are changing:drawing them at the start and end of the book, and writing a short explanation. These resources will help year 5/6 students get used to SATS-style questions.

This is a year 6 lesson using the prologue of Cogheart, working on the skills of SEQUENCING/SUMMARY/. -children make inferences and predictions using the front cover of the book children discuss some vocabulary from the upcoming chapter read the first chapter of Cogheart children learn about sequencing/summarising and do some as a class children complete some independent sequencing/summarising tasks /questions. These resources will help year 6 students get used to SATS-style questions.
