This resource consists of two model answers for the New 2024 onwards Paper 4 Cambridge IGCSE History exam. It includes one Qa. ‘Write an account…’ question and one Qb. ‘Discuss the importance/impact/significance of…’ question.
Both questions are centred on The New Deal, as part of the CIE USA depth study.
All materials included in this bundle have been produced following the completion of the new Paper 4 CIE IGCSE training course delivered by Cambridge International Examinations for the new 2024 specification.

NOTE: The content in the Qb 25 marker is far more than is needed to gain 25/25. I have included as many facets as possible to show students the full range of points they could make but the document is fully editable to delete those you see fit in order to give a more realistic benchmark of a 4 paragraph essay (+ intro and conclusion).
The Paper 4 was new to all of us last year so I was thrilled when numerous students in my class gained over 35/40, with one student gaining 40/40. Crucially, I’ve found using model answers such as these invaluable when walking students through exam technique during revision sessions, and helping to translate the demands of the mark scheme into something tangible and understandable.
