I have been a teacher for over 20 years - all the stuff I upload has been tried and tested in my classroom. I don't mind a discussion on Twitter too where I also share new resources. I now have a personal website: https://andylutwyche.com/

Transforming Functions Worksheet

Transforming Functions Worksheet

(1)
I realised that I have very little on this topic, so I came up with this. Four different functions, each with five transformations of increasing difficulty and students need to find where a point moves to. Error corrected!
Clumsy Clive On Histograms

Clumsy Clive On Histograms

(1)
Clive has a histogram homework for your students to check. These are designed to get students discussing and thinking about the mathematics. I have also designed this to work online as there is minimal drawing involved (although there is a little).
Sequence Matching

Sequence Matching

(2)
Four sets of sequences for students to match with their nth terms. there is always one extra sequence which doesn't match and this requires students to find the nth term. It's designed to generate discussion. The five sets get increasingly difficult and are all arithmetic until the final two sets which are all quadratic sequences, the first lot being relatively easy, the second not so.
Angles Codbreaker

Angles Codbreaker

(1)
Find the missing angles on a line, in triangles, in polygons and parallel lines and find the punchline to the fish-related joke. These have worked nicely in online lessons and in-person lessons before that. Students gain confidence as words appear and teacher can help those who really need it rather than those who just want to check that they are going right.
Crack The Safe - Average and Range

Crack The Safe - Average and Range

(1)
Three different “Crack The Safe” activities taking students through calculating average and range from raw data, then through frequency table and finally to grouped frequency and estimating the mean etc. These are designed to create a bit of discussion but also allow students to self-mark as answer options are given. Good for a starter or plenary.
Crack The Safe - Types of Number (HCF/LCM)

Crack The Safe - Types of Number (HCF/LCM)

(1)
Two “Crack The Safe” activities on types of numbers and HCF/LCM. The two sheets are split into types of number and HCF/LCM problems. These contain six questions but ten possible answers meaning that students can self-check their answers (are they in the list of possible answers?) whilst the teacher can help those who require it. I use these as starters and plenaries but that is obviously up to you.

Crack The Safe - Probability

(2)
Four sets of “Crack The Safe” worksheets that get increasingly difficult regarding probability. These allow students to self-check rather than rely on the teacher as possible solutions are given, but more than required to prevent guessing. These work nicely as starters or plenaries for me.
Crack The Safe - Solving Linear Equations

Crack The Safe - Solving Linear Equations

(1)
Two “Crack The Safe” activities on solving linear equations (one on two-step and one on more than two-step, including fractions and brackets). These contain six questions but six possible answers for each question meaning that students can self-check their answers (are they in the list of possible answers?) whilst the teacher can help those who require it. I use these as starters and plenaries but that is obviously up to you.

Twitter Usage Calculations

(2)
I saw a picture on Twitter showing what happens in a minute on the social networking site (lots of my students use it too). I therefore came up with this activity. I'm sure you could make more questions based upon the statistics given.
Differentiation Advent Calendar

Differentiation Advent Calendar

(1)
Twenty four differentiation questions where students are asked to find the gradient of a curve at a given point, order the words associated with each answer in order to form a festive joke. The joke is particularly cheesy; I apologise…
Monaco Lap - Speed-Time Graph

Monaco Lap - Speed-Time Graph

(2)
Using a pole position lap from Nico Rosberg in 2014 can the class firstly sketch a speed-time graph and then draw it using some speeds and times from the lap itself. I have included links to the video and embedded the video into the Powerpoint (I couldn't get a good enough copy for Notebook).
Crack The Safe - Pythagoras
alutwychealutwyche

Crack The Safe - Pythagoras

(1)
Six questions on Pythagoras with ten possible solutions. This allows students to check their own work to an extent; if their answer does not appear in the “possible answers” section then they need to check. Designed to be used as a starter or plenary.
Ratio Matching

Ratio Matching

(1)
Simply: match the ratios that simplify to the ratio in the centre. I have used units of measurement on each matching activity as well. There are four to do and the answers make students simplify the ratios that don't match.
