Six "spiders" on probability. The first two are basic, the middle two are two events (independent) and the final two are two events (dependent). Some "legs" answer questions, some legs give the answer and ask for the question. They have been split this way so that you can use different "spiders" with different classes. These should encourage discussion and questions such as "Is that the only answer?" which should demonstrate understanding. Typos corrected.

This is designed as a starter, plenary or a discussion exercise. There are four "explosions" to work through and I have given you the choice of the students working out the shapes from the properties or finding the properties given the shape. This moves from triangles and quadrilaterals to polygons to 3D shapes. Some shapes have the same property so link to the same cloud. This has been designed to check understanding and to give some the opportunity to expand on properties. I have not included all properties of all shapes to naturally generate discussion and differentiation.

Five topics from C1 - a question on each. The students have 3 options to choose from, then scan the appropriate QR code (which takes them to a song or artist with a number in the title). Once they have all five correct answers they can "defuse the bomb" with the code. All QR codes scan to a song or artist with a number in them so they can't cheat. A short activity with a really lame joke (when aren't they?) naming the place value in which the 5 is positioned in each number. Designed for a quick homework, plenary or starter and involves tenths etc as well as the large place values (up to 10 million).

No power and therefore no access to phones (battery's run out) so estimating in your head it is then! Four fairly simple calculations (I've called the final one a challenge as it involves more steps) that could lead to further discussion, something I have added/given the option to people in after the answers are revealed in the powerpoint.
