I create GCSE AQA 9-1 and OCR B resources as well as AQA A level resources. I pitch to the top-end and differentiate down. My resources are designed to be followed easily by my team so they are easy to use in your classrooms. I am the HoD in a very successful state school.
75% of all GCSE geography results were at A* and A grade

This is my PowerPoint for the teaching of at least three lessons about World Cities - I LOVE teaching this sub-topic! I hope you find it useful for GEOG.3 revision
This is a 25 page booklet which I have pasted various resources I have used to teach the Changing Places unit.
It includes:
Relationships and Connection 'Exploring our place' activity for computer lessons x 2 or homeworks. You will need to adapt to the name of your local place.
Homework to collect quantitative and qualitative source and then accompanying lesson activity using a mark scheme to prepare for an exam Q.
Information from the AQA board from the Head of Curriculum for Geography answering 12 questions about relationships and connections - this is particularly enlightening!
Changing places revision grid for all content to fill in electronically ideally, or perhaps as a group on a
Google doc (will need to be adapted to your case study names)
Homework on Endogenous and Endogenous factors - could be a lesson instead: 1. How do endogenous and exogenous factors contribute to the character of places? [10]
Changing Places quiz out of 67! with answers- mostly in round 1 and 2 but will need to adapt round 3 and bonus round
Some slides on lived experience leading to a 20 mark essay grid to complete the new SAM 20 marker from paper 2.
Place Attachment comprehension reading and questions.
This ppt includes all of the lesson material for this part of the spec - It took me 6 or 7 lessons, though it could take up to 8 lessons for lower ability pupils.
I am the HoD in a top performing state school. I also run a PGCE Geography in a local university.
I also used the Teachit Natural Hazards pack alongside my own resources (free online).
Each lesson starts with a spec outline and includes learning objectives, starter activities, skills work and lesson activities as well as links to video clips. There are also exam questions.
The worksheet resources are also available for sale on Tes should you wish to purchase them to support the lesson presentation.
I have written notes below the slides to aid your teaching.
I am HoD in a top state school and I run a PGCE Geograpy…
I created this PowerPoint for all of my taught Changing Places lessons. All lessons are in one PowerPoint and I have written notes under slides to explain them or elaborate or to give teaching strategies. It’s not completely self-explanatory in the sense that you may wish to adapt parts of it to include images of your own local area for example as further illustrations.
There are 127 slides in this resource. I consider it to be high quality and it took me many many hours (hence the price).
Best of luck with Changing Places.
I have reduced the price of my old spec A Level teaching materials into one bundle by 53%.
90% got A*-B.
I hope you can still find these teaching materials useful…I do!
Here are my resources I used to teach the AQA Changing Places spec. I hope you find them useful. My students certainly did, since their results were consistently above average for similar centres for this unit with average grade B and a 1.4 residual.
I am a Head of Hums and previous Head of Geog in a successful state school. I also ran a Geography PGCE course previously. My GCSE students acheived 76.9% A/A* and 100% A*-C.
Since this is now the old spec and would need to be adapted, I have bundled these resources and reduced the price. They’re still useful for teaching man y aspects of the courses, especially the synoptic units/skills…I still refer to them regularly for either AQA or OCR new spec content.
Topic booklet and all resources for AQA 9-1 Changing Economic World -Economic Futures in the UK (p22 of specification). Also includes The DTM and Population pyramids.
Lesson booklet - 9 lessons (may take you longer than this) which include title, learning objective, recap of prior learning, activities, practice exam questions, reflection.
9 Lesson PowerPoints to support booklet based lessons
Knowledge Organiser weekly ‘do now’ tests for pupils to do as enter classroom
Knowledge Organiser assessment with answers /100
Makes use of the Oxford textbook.
I am academic director in an Outstanding academy and we have achieved P8 of 1.14 ranking 18th nationally.
This set of resources consists of two large PowerPoints and three class work booklets which covers the entire Dynamic Development topic, step-by-step. The accompanying textbook we have referred to is the yellow OCR B by Oxford Publishing.
This resource includes everything you need to print and teach this topic, or use for revision. There are two worksheets not included which you can get off the OCR website called ‘top-down’ and ‘bottom’up’. I also refer to the MDGs progress report to evaluate how well Zambia met them.
My lessons include detailed title slides, ‘do now’ activities as well as ‘knowledge quizzes’ for AfL mini-tests, exam questions, model answers, hinge questions, video clips and photographs and much much more!
The price reflects the time it took me to plan this unit.
