Ever since my PGCE I have been convinced that every Maths topic has a unique and interesting way to be taught. 7 years later and I have collected and created 100s of resources to prove my point. All resources, including IB and A Level, are designed to be thoroughly engaging but yet cover every bit of content required with plenty of practise too. Teach LCM with the life of the Cicada bugs or teach proportions using celebrity faces and the golden ratio. All fully animated engaging powerpoints.

This resource can be spread over 2 or 3 lessons depending how deep you want to go into correlation. Lesson 1 will cover the basics. I use lesson 2 in the PowerPoint more like a mini project but can be skipped if required. Lesson 3 is more based on higher level thinking trying to find the equations of lines of best fits and use extrapolation.

Two lessons worth. 12 A* questions that are worth around 7 marks each. I use 6 in a lesson where I place one on each table and students get 5-10 minutes (you decide!) before moving onto the next table. The powerpoint shows step by step method and solutions for each question.

A very unique treasure hunt. Instructions for use: Students start on any question. Write down letters to answers as they go along (NOT the question they started on!) The collection of letters make a word but not in order. They can use an online unscrambler to find the word. They stop when a question sends them back to a letter they already have. It is the longest possible word where no letters repeat.

This activity runs on OneNote so students will need access to a computer. As it is done using online OneNote they do not need an account for it - just click the link and go! The powerpoint is for teachers reference to help guide students when they get stuck - the answers to each room can be found in the NOTES part of the Powerpoint. The only way I know to share this with students is using a share link which shares my original uneditable OneNote file. This does mean you will not be able to edit anything. If you spot a mistake, tell me and I will fix my original file and this will in turn fix it for anyone using the share link! If for some reason the share link stops working - just let me know and I will send you another share link. I have put the share link at the start of the powerpoint. HOW IT WORKS: Send the share link to students. DO NOT send the powerpoint to students. Each page represents a room which gives a code to access the password protected next page. Their aim is to access the final page. It works better in pairs. The Powerpoint is just for you. You only need to share the link with them. The final room tells you the 4 digit code to “the safe”. I have an actual small safe i bought online which i can easily change the code to and just put a bag of sweets in it. You could just tell them to “escape” to win or tell you the code to the safe to win. Content: This is full of different maths skills which would work for all year groups though guided more towards the younger or weaker sets. Substitution may be the mmost difficult topic.

Pretty simple. A Where's Wally picture with a coordinates grid pasted on the front. Can be used in a number of ways. I get students to crowed around the board and shout out the coordinates of various items I call out. The Powerpoint has a list of items to find plus the answers for the first 3 pictures. 3 more pictures to use as you wish.

A few lessons to introduce and practise solving equations. Having taught using many different methods to solve equations I have settled for the magic bridge method (float and ping). It is understood quickly and clearly and creates skills to be carried forward to more advanced maths. Resource includes step by step methods, practice exercises, a differentiated fun code breaking worksheet and an end of topic test that can be completed and peer marked in a lesson.

Absolutely everything you need to teach Circle Theorems. Intersecting Chords is not in the GCSE but nice extension for the top ability and is in the MEP. Guides students to write revision notes for each theorem and gives directed practise after each theorem is learnt (on powerpoint and on worksheet). Finish with (or use throughout) a 50 question worksheet that hits all theorems. All answers included. A handy worksheet to help students match theorems to questions for revision later down the line also included.

Starts with cuboids and prisms and moves on to composite 3D shapes. Followed by cylinders, spheres, pyramids and cones. Finishes with A* style questions. Fun activities and interesting questions keep the lessons engaging. An end of topic assessment is also included that can me completed and peer marked in a lesson. This resource assumes knowledge in areas of all 2D shapes.
