A 21 page presentation describing the traditions of Christmas in France. It covers St Nicholas’ Day, decorations, food and Epiphany. Each slide has a short piece of text accompanied by a picture. It could be used as part of a lesson or for an assembly for children aged 4 -11.

This is a Christmas plan and resources for a beginner’s Italian lesson to use with KS2. It involves children learning the vocabulary for ‘Happy Christmas,’ as well as six decorations in Italian. The plan gives details of a whole class game to use as a starter, how to teach the vocabulary, a paired reading activity, whole class listening activity, a writing activity and plenary game. A 30 page pack of fun Christmas themed activities aimed at 5-7 year olds. There are a mixture of numeracy, literacy, phonics and art activities perfect for the end of term. Examples include counting carol singers, writing acrostic poems and completing sequences among many others. Children can work independently on activities during this busy part of the year or they could be used as part of a whole lesson. This resource is a set of 5 Art lessons based around the theme of the sea, oceans and water for KS1. The key skills that are taught include creating different tones and shades with paint and pencil, using shapes, patterns and lines and experimenting with different materials. There are 3 different artists used as inspiration, all of whom have painted the sea or water using very different techniques. The children have the opportunity to work alone for 4 lessons and part of a collaborative group project for the final lesson. They have lots of opportunity to choose what materials they work with. The 15 page pdf lesson plans are very detailed and include a list of any resources you will need to get out of the cupboard. There are also details of curriculum links and examples of work from my classes. I have included the simple 7 slide PowerPoint I used for the series of lessons, which contains examples of the artists’ work around which the lessons are based. I hope you enjoy the lessons! The activity is also laid out in a similar way to the SATs booklets, with four pages with short written extracts to read and 5 questions per page. This is a plan for a Christmas assembly on the Annunciation (when Mary was visited by the Angel Gabriel), with a focus on promises and trust. There is an attached PowerPoint with the assembly starter and the story of the Annunciation. The plan is easy to follow and requires no resources, so is perfect for using at the last minute! I like leading assemblies that are interactive, engaging and relevant to the children’s lives. So this assembly involves the children discussing promises made by various people in their lives before listening to the story and again discussing.
