This resource is a scheme of work for a 7 week history unit aimed at Key Stage 2. The theme for the unit is women's rights, with a focus on Elizabeth Garrett-Anderson, the first female doctor and Emmeline Pankhurst, the suffragette.
The scheme includes an introduction, curriculum aims, a unit overview and 7 detailed lesson plans. Each plan has an objective, lesson introduction, main activity and plenary. There are also details about possible differentiation, questions for assessment and key vocabulary for each lesson. Also included are 3 PowerPoint presentations on women's history pre-20th century, Elizabeth Garrett-Anderson and Emmeline Pankhurst.
The unit could be used at any time in Key Stage 2 in order to cover the curriculum aim of studying a British theme post 1066.

They are all based on the reading SATs paper, containing a similar style of questions. There are a range of ‘what,’ ‘how,’ and ‘why’ questions, some multiple choice tick questions and some that require more detailed answers. They are also laid out in the same way as a SATs booklet to provide the children with greater experience.
Each booklet contains a title page with helpful words followed by 4 or 5 pages of text with several questions after each piece of information.
