This is a plan and resources for a French lesson to use with KS2. It involves children learning the vocabulary to describe the landscape in different French speaking countries e.g. In Guadeloupe there are beaches. The children are taught sentences to describe eight French speaking countries or regions. The plan could be used for an individual lesson, or as part of a longer unit on France and French speaking regions.

This is a set of comprehensions about the celebrations for King Charles III’s Coronation. They are aimed at Lower Key Stage 2 (ages 7-9). The comprehensions cover what a coronation is, a short history of Charles’s life, how Charles and others are celebrating, ways that children can get involved and the King’s charitable projects.
There are three differentiated booklets. The higher ability booklet has three pages of text for the children to read before they complete a range of questions that are aimed at extending more able readers. (18 questions)
The middle and lower ability booklets have the text split into five separate pages with questions on each page. The middle ability has 14 questions and the lower ability contains 12 questions.
There are colour and black & white versions of each booklet. Answers are also included. All of the documents are in the zip file.
Perfect for using around the Coronation celebrations or for a topic on King Charles III. I’m looking forward to using these with my Year 3 class!

This is a presentation on the astronaut, Neil Armstrong, who became the first man to walk on the moon.
Use it as part of a lesson or for an assembly. The presentation covers Neil’s childhood, his years as a pilot, becoming and astronaut and the expedition to the moon. The last part of the presentation includes some interesting questions to provoke discussion or for further exploration.
Armstrong is one of the key historical figures mentioned in the KS1 curriculum, so this presentation would be perfect for introducing the explorer.

This resource is a comprehension activity based on the year 6 reading comprehension SATs paper.
The theme is the story of Palm Sunday, which I have rewritten to resemble the style of the reading paper. There is a reading booklet and an accompanying question booklet, which contains a range of questions based on last year’s paper. Answers are also included.
I have included 3 differentiated levels. The Higher Ability level (801 words) is similar to the SATs paper, whilst the Middle Ability (741 words) and Lower Ability (615 words) use slightly simplified wording in the reading and question booklet.
