I have written three extended stories to some Oxford Reading Tree Stage 1 stories. I could not find the original extended stories to these, although they may exist. The stories are for: Who is it?, Six in a bed, and Fun at the beach. I have also attached some other original extended stories, written by Roderick Hunt, that I have typed out, ready for a Shared Reading session.

Designed to be blown up to A3 size. Play I-spy in phonics/literacy lesson, I spy with my little eye, something that begins with the letter … Scribe a word for each letter - obvious choices are kids’ names.

The alphabet on one page, with small spaces for sketches or words (could be used as a personal wordbank).

Pictures and character names of characters in differing versions of the story.

A worksheet with simple pictures of different shaped/sized containers. Children to mark/colour in when the container is half-full

Worksheet to help children hear onset and rime families with CVC words

Flashcards (could be blown up to make posters) of vowel digraphs and examples of words that use the phoneme in them, including pictures. Designed to be placed in sound families, to assist emergent writers with their spellings.

Assessment to test Next 200 words. Words listed in order of frequency.

Phonics assessment for Phase 5 digraphs and split digraphs.

Rhyming number bond to 10 posters featuring elements of Easter and the easter story.

An SSEHV (education through human values) lesson plan on teamwork and co-operation. Can be used in PSHE/PSED/SEAL times. 1. Quotation 2. Meditation 3. Story and discussion 4. Song 5. Games and activities Designed to be split over a few sessions for younger children.

Board game with addition and subtraction sums to answer to 'complete the mile'. Game cards attached for mini sports challenges. 3 differentiated boards - +1/-1, +2/-2 and a high ability using numerals 1-9 addition and subtraction sums. To reinforce turn taking.

Not sure which website I found this on, but a good assembly for Mother's Day, looking at all the jobs a mum does.

'Dear Mummy, thank you for.... Love from' Letter writing to follow up on discussions about all the jobs mums do for us. Nice idea to include inside the Mother's Day card as a surprise. Children to decorate the border afterwards. Differentiated based on writing ability.
