Each task card includes a different addition calculation. There are ten frames underneath each calculation for children to use to help them work out the answer. How to use Long Vowel Worksheets
This fun, hands-on activity helps students learn how to identify the missing long vowel sound in words using this unique vowel owl slider tool! These worksheets can also be used without the vowel owl slider tool to further challenge your students.
Students look at the picture and incomplete word, then use the vowel owl slider by moving it up and down through the empty box. When moving the slider up and down students should sound out the word trying each vowel digraph until they identify the correct long vowel. Students then write the correct long vowel in the empty box.
There are also worksheets where students can trace over the correct long vowel for additional support. As this long vowel activity is differentiated you are sure to find a variation of this resource to suit the needs of all your students.
