Designed for the OCR A Level Lesson 6.4 on the organisation and specialisation of cells. As this is a topic students should have recall of from GCSE it is designed with brief introduction and then students work independently to make notes using the questions provided and their text books. I have introduced Cornell notes for this to provide students with an alternative method of note taking. Answers to questions provided.
OCR A Level Biology A lessons on Pathogens & Modes of Transmission. This is two of thirteen lessons to meet the specification points for 4.1.1 Communicable Diseases, disease prevention and the immune system.
Specification points: 4.1.1 (a, b)
Objectives for this lesson:
• Recall the different types of pathogen.
• Describe the means of transmission of pathogens in both plant and animals.
• Evaluate how living conditions can influence the transmission rates of pathogens.
First lesson is covering the theory and setting the homework task of creating a presentation on one of the pathogens ready to present in the second lesson. During presentation in the second lesson, students can complete notes on the required information.
BONUS content: I have also included a marking rubric that can be used to provide feedback. All you need to go is fill in the student name and marks for each area on the Marking sheet and then print off the Print spreadsheet, I usually print these 2 per page.
