This resource introduces pupils to Día de los Muertos (day of the dead), a Mexican festival celebrated on 2nd November, to help increase their cultural capital and knowledge of festivals celebrated in Spanish-speaking countries. The worksheet gets pupils watching a YouTube video and using active listening skills so that they can fill in the gaps on their fact file. For adaptive teaching pupils are provided with a missing words list which they can use to fill in the gaps or this can be omitted in order to challenge pupils further.

This resource is great for pupils to revise all of module two from the Studio textbook for AQA GCSE French. Each part of the retrieval clock contains a subtopic that is studied within module. Topics include film, TV hobbies, sports, free time, leisure activities, etc… This is a great retrieval activity helping pupils with metacognition and teaching them revision strategies that they can make use of across many of their other subjects.
