This is an end of unit assessment for the World War II unit. This was made specifically for a Year 4 class. It contains 20 questions with the answers on a separate page.
A unit assessment is also included.
This is a power point explaining about the religion Shintoism and its main beliefs. This topic came under our unit Smaller Religions in Year 4. It is an 8 slide presentation covering the beliefs, worship, torri and kami.
This resource includes a poem used to show different poetic techniques as well as a power point. It could be used in any KS2 poetry class.
This poem is called Desperate. It is about s child trying to include all the poetic techniques they have learned but they are finding the task difficult. Without knowing they include all the techniques required.
Techniques include alliteration, rhyme, metaphor, simile and personification.
The power point explains alliteration, similes, metaphors, onomatopoeia, rhyme and repetition and gives examples of each.
This is a topic evaluation for Science and Humanities. It gives students a chance to reflect on their learning at the end of a unit. It is suited for KS2.

These cute little flashcards are usually hanging around my room. At the end of every lessons students move to the skill they felt most confident with in the lesson and then the skill they feel they want to work on in the next lesson. The skills are listening, speaking, motivation, confidence, cooperation, organisation, responsibility.
An exercise to review the class rules
This is an exercise I gave students if they forgot some of the rules of the Drama class. It includes a comprehension outlining the rules, questions and a composition based on what they have learned from the exercise and how they plan to use it to move forward. There is a question sheet for junior primary and senior primary.
An end of year reflections exercise
This reflection was given to the students in the last lesson of the year. It was an opportunity to reflect on all they learned, the skills they improved, the games they enjoyed and also allowed them to focus on their targets for the next year. There are two sheets, one with questions and one for them to create a drawing showing their favourite activity.

Here are three differentiated sheets for area and perimeter. Children must use their knowledge of area and perimeter to complete the tables. Sheets are colour coded. Green is LA, orange is MA and red is HA. These are suited for Year 4 or 5 students. All answers are included.
This resource is to help practice area and perimeter of rectangles, squares and compound shapes.
There are 2 posters on how to find area and perimeter and 3 worksheets which are differentiated.
The LA worksheet is an exercise to find the perimeter and area of different rectangles, where the length of the sides are already given.
The MA worksheet requires students to first measure the sides and then use this to find the area and perimeter.
The HA worksheet requires students to find the area of compounds shapes. They first have to find the length of the missing sides.
This is a collection of word problems aimed at students in Year 4-6. (High ability group for Year 4).

I find these questions especially good as an extension, a pop quiz, EMA activity or to use one or two at the beginning or end of a lesson.
This presentation and worksheet are to be used as an initial lesson for habitats. It explains what a habitat is; and gets children to brainstorm different habitats. They also must begin to think about different animals and plants that live in the various habitats. At the end of this lesson I always give students a large piece of paper and in groups they much draw pictures depicting the habitat. This then is used as the backing paper for my display.
This is resource contains an exercise that gets the children to practice using a ruler; as well as a presentation on converting units of measure.
The worksheet asks students to measure the lines with their rulers. They then must convert from cm to mm. As an extension at the end, they are required to draw their own lines based on a length given in centimetres.
The presentation goes through how to convert from mm to cm, and from cm to m. There are exercised along the way to get the children practicing.
This lesson is suited for a Year 4 class or could be used for revision with Year 5.
The answers to the lengths are also included.
This resource contains a presentation explaining how to read the time to the nearest hour on an analogue clock.
It also contains an exercise with pictures of clocks to the nearest hour. Students must write underneath what time they think it is. This lesson is suited for a Year 1/ Grade 1 class or as a revision lesson for higher grades.
