I have mentored NQTs through induction over many years and would have found it really useful to have this resource as a guide. This resource includes: A structure for writing the report which can be copied and pasted into the Local Authority template A four page document with key questions and examples linked to each teacher standard which can be used to help write the report My experience mentoring NQTs has been in primary schools, so there will be some phrases that are more tailored to primary settings e.g. reference to the teacher’s class, rather than classes, but this would be easy to adapt to suit secondary NQTs. This is a guide rather than complete reports that can be copied and pasted. This is because NQT reports must be written about the individual teacher.
