2 x A3 Sheets (1 for each student) Made in Word so easily customisable. -can be assigned as a homework task, to be printed off and brought to lessons -can be completed as a learning/revision activity in class -can be used as an IT Suite Lesson Students fill in blank squares with relevant subject, revision, knowledge hunt information (and instructions to advance/retreat token X spaces). Students then connect their boards (creating a unique game each time) Opponents copy text when land on the other player's squares (60 seconds or they miss a turn!) This lesson is useful both for English Literature, Religious Studies & Philosophy Teachers. It is also an invaluable resource for teachers organising ‘Chinese Culture Days’ as whole-school or KS3 events. It focusses on Chinese Philosophy & Poetry, comparing the 3 main schools of thought in traditional Chinese culture: Confucianism, Buddhism and, especially, Daoism/Taoism; the lesson then asks students to read, analyse and discuss carefully selected poems from the 2500 year-old ‘Tao Te Ching’ (The most single most widely translated text from China). The file contains a PPT, Worksheet, and ‘Knowledge Hunt’ resource. See the main slide for a general idea of the structure of the lesson.
