They then write their own interview with a chosen animal, imagining what the animal would say if it could talk like a human. In the second task, the child reads some letters written to Raj, the local vet. They should use their imagination to complete the replies. He or she then writes their own letter to Raj about a problem that a chosen pet has. The third task highlights how instructions use imperatives like ‘use’ to start sentences.
