Spreadsheets Lesson 7 to 10 - Spreadsheet Battleships -Excel or Google Sheets -KS 3 Computing / ICT

(0)
This lesson puts together all the learning from the previous 6 lessons in the Spreadsheets Basics Series into a practical task to create a battleships game using a spreadsheet to make use of formatting techniques, Averages, Max, Min, IFs, Conditional Formatting. I normally use this with KS3. I have also include a student example which has a Star Wars theme rather than the traditional battleships theme. This is a great activity that involves some quite complex use of Spreadsheet principles so there is a teacher exemplar to show each stage and a video to show the teacher / students what to do if they get stuck. The extension tasks are very tricky and should stretch the most able students.
