I am now a retired teacher having taught for over 40 years in the UK at secondary level. I wanted to share my love of Mathematics and teaching by providing a good set of resources which will more than cover all your needs for as many topics as I can and at good value for money. I am trying to cover many topics from foundation level GCSE up to grade 9 at higher level in a way that is interesting and relevant. I hope you like my style !

Symmetrical Tiles

This was a short starter which I developed and it turned out to be more demanding than intended. This is a pdf showing three coloured tiles and students are to name which squares should be coloured to give which type of symmetry. Line symmetry is easy to visualize but rotational symmetry not so much. I aimed this at foundation level GCSE but it can be used at Key stage 3 or even 2. A page of blanks is included - You may find them useful…or not

Goal Mouth Number Line

Not a wonderful resource but some may find a use for it. Write two numbers in the circles and see if they can score a goal by identifying anything between those numbers. I used it for fractions but don’t forget decimals and negatives. Obviously try to miss the goalkeeper !!

A basic worksheet showing 12 shapes which have lines of symmetry and / or rotational symmetry. In each case the student is asked to fully describe the symmetry of the shape - exactly as in a GCSE question I have tried to include all the trick questions that examiners like to use. Please leave feedback - particularly if you like my work - Thank you

Equally Likely Events - with answers

This is a basic worksheet covering the introduction to Probability I wished to stress the basic facts that examiners expected candidates to know, such as how many cards in a standard deck? which letters are vowels as well as number properties. So I created this worksheet to cover as many of these ideas as possible. I have found it useful for the introduction of Probability and also some revision at foundation level. ****Answers are included.
