French Connect 4 Game - ÊTRE - Present Tense
This is a fun, quick, and easy way to have your beginner students review être in the imperfect tense.
In order to win, students connect four boxes by filling them in with the correct conjugations of the verb être, which is listed at the bottom of the game board. Subject pronouns are listed on the left.
Students take turns filling in boxes until four are connected. At this point, they can check their work using the answer key provided. If any of the conjugations are incorrect, the game continues. Full instructions are included.

French Subjunctive Practice Cards - Il faut que
This set of 50 study cards is meant to help students practice and master forming the French present subjunctive. Each card provides a sentence with a blank where the verb should be. The verb to use is written in the infinitive form at the top of each card. 25 cards begin with Il faut que, and 25 begin with Il ne faut pas que.
Students practice using regular and irregular verbs in the subjunctive, and the English translations provided on the answer key will be most helpful as they come across new vocabulary and ways of saying things. None of the English translations begin with It is necessary that, because that isn’t the best way to say these sentences in English. Students will gain better knowledge of why the subjunctive is used by working with so many different examples.

L’école - Lecteurs débutants - French reader cut and paste
This set of five RÉSOUS-LE / SOLVE THE SENTENCE hands-on puzzle activities will keep your primary French students engaged while learning to read by putting words together to form sentences. This set follows a school theme and includes sight words (mots fréquents) for first and second grade. In addition to having fun while reading, students will be challenged and develop reasoning skills while solving each of the 5 puzzles. French Subjunctive and Subordinating Conjunctions Lesson Plan Distance Learning
This is an advanced French grammar lesson plan in which students will learn which subordinating conjunctions trigger the subjunctive. This lesson is meant for students who have already learned how to form the subjunctive. The purpose of this lesson is to see the subjunctive being used with conjunctions in meaningful context (a story), and to practice using the cards provided with an answer key.

INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Provide students with the lesson guide

Step 5: Have students listen to the audio version of the story.
Step 6: Have students listen to the story again while reading along (aloud).
Step 7: Students practice forming the subjunctive with conjunctions with a set of 25 practice cards. An answer key with English translations is included. There is a no print version that students can open on their devices as well as a version with 4 cards per page that you can print and cut out if you prefer.
