One of them focuses on forming the futur antérieur while the other one asks students to choose between the futur antérieur and the futur simple according to context. This is a comprehensive lesson on the French FUTUR ANTÉRIEUR tense. This is an 18 minute video lesson in which I explain and illustrate how to form the futur antérieur as well as how and when to use this tense. GCSE FRENCH: Futur Antérieur Task Cards + Powerpoint

(0)
This is a set of 30 French FUTUR ANTÉRIEUR tense task cards + powerpoint that you can use in a number of ways with your students. Each card has a sentence written in the futur simple and your students must transform the sentence to the futur antérieur. This is a nice cooperative speaking activity or if you choose you can use the task cards as a written assignment. A student response sheet is included if you decide to use the cards this way. I'm including a powerpoint version of the cards should you want to project them and have the whole class work together. There's a nice mixture of common regular and irregular verbs to work with. There are verbs using both avoir and être as helping verb as well as a few reflexives (even two that don't require making agreement on the past participle as a challenge). Students can work with a partner as a cooperative activity and to practice speaking or they can work individually to practice writing. Task cards are a nice alternative to worksheets which can sometimes seem tedious or boring. Just print, cut out and laminate these cards and you're ready to go, no prep for years to come! If you look in the upper left corner you'll see a space where you can neatly punch a hole in each card and then connect them with a keyring. This really makes using these task cards easy enough to decide on using at the drop of a hat, and they make for fantastic review. Included with this product: 30 futur antérieur task cards, black and white version 30 futur antérieur task cards, color version Answer key Student response sheet Powerpoint version

GCSE FRENCH: Futur Antérieur Worksheets - Quizzes

Two things are very important when teaching the French futur antérieur tense. First, students need to know how this tense is formed and then they need to understand how and when to use it. Here is a set of two worksheets that can also be used as homework or quizzes. One worksheet focuses on formation of the futur antérieur while the other one has students choose between using the futur simple and the futur antérieur. Subjects or subject pronouns and infinitives are provided and students must fill in the blanks according to context. Each worksheet contains 15 sentences and answer keys are provided.

This is an easy to play 30 minute dice game to practice 18 different regular French -RE verbs in the present and passé composé tenses. My high school students love this game, and it can get very competitive if you decide to play it as a race (details are explained with the activity). Students divide up into teams and play six versions of this dice game. The dice determine which subject and -RE verb to conjugate. Included with this activity: How to play Six different versions of the game with answers Student response and scoring sheet This dice game is an especially fun way to practice while learning about the present tense and passé composé. All of the verbs in this activity use AVOIR as helping verb. More advanced students also benefit from the review.

GCSE FRENCH: J'ai... Qui a? CHEZ LE MÉDECIN - French vocabulary game

This is a really fun game to practice with your students who are learning vocabulary about CHEZ LE MÉDECIN, and it involves NO PREP once you've printed and cut out the cards. I've included both a beginner and intermediate version of the game as well as black and white and color versions. The beginner version has the words written out and the intermediate version only shows pictures. Have a look at the thumbnails to see what they look like. Each version includes 41 cards. Depending on class size you could either give each student more than one card or have them play with a partner. I recommend printing out and laminating these cards if possible so that you can use them over and over again. Once each student has a card (or cards), the one who has the card that says "Je commence" starts the game. He says, for example, Je commence! J'ai une fraise. Qui a une orange? The person who has the card with an orange on it says, J'ai une orange. Qui a du bacon? And so the game goes on until the last card is called and that student's card will say, J'ai fini! Another idea is to prepare two sets of cards, divide your class into two groups and let each group have a go to see which team can get through the entire deck of cards the fastest. If the vocabulary is completely new you could start out with the beginner deck and as the words become more familiar you could move on to the intermediate level. It's really a lot of fun, and though you can play with younger students the older ones love this game just as much.

GCSE FRENCH: French definite and indefinite articles worksheets

(0)
These 3 French definite and indefinite articles worksheets are best for students who have been studying French for a while, but who still struggle with understanding how and when to use definite as opposed to indefinite articles. These exercises will help students remember why we need to use articles and the reason why choosing the correct one is so important. The focus of these exercises is to choose correctly between definite and indefinite articles. Sometimes it is difficult when students don't know if the noun in question is masculine or feminine. That's why there is one worksheet that uses only masculine & singular nouns, another that uses only feminine & singular nouns, and one more that uses only plural nouns, masculine and feminine. You'll notice that the vocabulary used is more advanced than what it is when you first teach articles. These exercises are really to help non-beginners who still struggle to remember how and when to use definite and indefinite articles. Included with this resource: Exercise, LE vs UN + answer key and English translation Exercise, LA vs UNE + answer key and English translation Exercise, LES vs DES + answer key and English translation Example: _____ a. Dans ma rue, il y a __(UNE)___ boulangerie qui fabrique de très bonnes pâtisseries. _____ b. Où est __(LA)___ boulangerie Au bon pain, s’il vous plaît?
