I’ve included 2 fun ways to play this fun vocabulary game and both are explained in the instructions. Advanced French conversation questions - L’Avenir - Le Futur Part of our series of discussions ciblées for advanced French students. List of 35 vocabulary words related to l’avenir - le futur with 20 thought provoking discussion questions. The questions are suitable for upper level and AP French or for middle and high school French immersion. This resource is especially useful for your chapter technology and the future. I like to print the list of words on one side of a page and the questions on the other side so that students can easily refer to the new vocabulary during their conversations. If you make a two sided copy everything will fit on one page. A page with French vocabulary and no English translation for immersion programs is included. Also included is are two sets of speaking cards for students to use prior to using the discussion so that they can become familiar with the theme and many new words. The cards just need to be printed and cut out so that your students can use them in pairs or small groups. Each card says, “Décris le mot suivant en français et ton partenaire le devinera.” The vocabulary word is written both in French and English since many of the words will be new. French Pronouns Y and EN - 75 Practice Cards 75 cards to practice using the French pronouns Y and EN in three different tenses. These practice cards will help students better understand when to use Y and EN in many different situations. Each card indicates the tense to be used: présent, passé composé, futur proche Each card indicates a subject pronoun, verb in the infinitive form, and another word or words to complete the sentence. Students first form a sentence using the elements provided, then they restate the sentence using either Y or EN. A two page answer key is provided. I recommend printing them on the front and back side of one sheet of paper so that you can easily distribute them to students so that they can check their work. This is an activity that students can work on alone or in pairs or small groups. My students really like to do this activity with a partner.
