This is a full unit for the 9-1 AQA GCSE RS course. Please consult individual lesson pages (uploaded individually) for detail on each.
The lessons are designed to be taught as doubles but are easily adaptable to squeeze into shorter periods (as I do because we have an odd timetable)

This is a very detailed Scheme of Work for Christianity and Islam sections of the AQA Short Course, it is designed to be taught on roughly 2 hours a fortnight but can be adapted easily.
Included are lesson activity ideas and guidance on content.
It covers both Christianity and Islam beliefs.
This lesson looks at the growth (or decline) of the church in the UK as well as the rapid growth of the church across the rest of the world. It goes into detail on CFAN, using a video from their website. The video shows people falling over in the Holy Spirit so please be aware and do make a teaching point out of the beliefs in the video.
My complete GCSE Islam unit. Lots of information on each powerpoint, ideal for home learning/revision. Easily adaptable to include more active learning activities as per your style of teaching. Lots of practice exam questions in each lesson.

I focus the majority of this unit on Christianity as there is enough diversity to fulfill the exam requirements. However, it does still include Islam when appropriate.

This is a really fun couple of lessons, aimed at KS3 Y8-9. They take the role of investigators, looking into detailed 'case files' which include eye-witness testimonies, scientific reports and images. There are also videos contained within the power point.
Topics include reincarnation, NDE, Mediums/Ghosts.
I would recommend turning out the lights, have some lamps or fairy lights (at least initially) and play the X files music while the students come in. They get really excited and enjoy it.
I'd also recommend photocopying onto sugar paper to add to the effect, printing each activity on different colour helps too.

A level lesson on Aquinas' Natural Moral Law, originally used as a revision lesson but easily works for a standard lesson, probably enough content to run over 2-3 hours of teaching on.
Based on the new AQA A level but caters well enough for previous exam boards specs.

In this lesson we explore the issue of gender equality. It looks at what it is and what it look/ doesn’t look like. A provocative starter includes images of 1950s sexist adds given out, great for getting discussion going.
The lesson focuses on how Christians perceive gender difference as a good thing, but that it might mean there are different but equal roles men and women should play. It looks at the reasons why some Christians think this and why some do not.
Lots of opportunity for discussion throughout.

This is a game I’ve created for my year 11’s. They’ve been struggling with keywords so this is a fun activity that can be played multiple times with them.
There are differing levels of rules so can allow for differentiation as well.
The cards have been created so that you can print them double sided and the tiles will match up (or print and photocopy 1 sided - 2 sided and it should work)
The rules in short are,
Spread the cards out across your table with the keyword facing up
Each player takes it in turn to select a card and guess the definition of the word.
If the player guesses correctly with the reverse of the card they keep the card and add it to their pile.
If they are incorrect the leave the card to the table and put back 3 cards from their hand.
Winner is the person with the most cards at the end of the game.

It covers the 3 key ideas - omnipotence, benevolence and just.
It introduces students to exam technique.
This large lesson covers both Eids. There are also exam questions included. For Id-ul-Adha I have included some links to environmental ethics, you may not wish to show some of these images to you class or go down that road, but I found my year 10s really got into a debate about whether it was necessary to sacrifice that many animals today.

It explores the idea of the Judaism both as a religion and as 'Jewishness' - ethnic Judaism. That of a people belonging to God, agreeing to keep God's holy commands.

This has a couple of activities but is designed as a power point where the teacher can interactively explain and elaborate on the slides.
The PPT looks at the context of SE and raises the concepts of legalism and antinomianism.
