These can be used for guided reading sessions or to give children as activities to support guided reading sessions/ whole class reading comprehensions. An activity that requires children to find some of the European countries involved in the First World War. There are two sets of differentiated maps, with a set of blank maps of 1914 Europe and a set of blank maps of modern day Europe. Also included is a labelled map of 1914 Europe to support children. This is a useful activity for beginning to look at the First World War as it gives children the opportunity to explore countries involved and consider the proximity to one another whilst providing the chance to see how much the European map has changed in the past 100 years.
The seventh of a ten part series of lessons that focus on many of the elements of the locational knowledge aspects for the KS2 Geography curriculum.
