Do you want to broaden your pupils' knowledge of France while working on their research skills? This resource is really easy to use in your classroom – there are 13 printable worksheets covering the different regions of France and a blank sheet if pupils wish to research the overseas departments. Pupils can then undertake their own research (at home or in class) to find out more about a French region. Pupils are asked to: • find out what the French call that region • draw and colour the regional flag • find out the population, capital and large cities • mark the region on the map • provide interesting facts. This is the perfect set of sheets for differentiation as either you, or your pupils, can identify what skills they need to work on while everyone is focusing on the same text. The content is suitable for those needing to revise the preterite tense in Spanish. It is aimed at higher ability KS3 (lower secondary), GCSE/National 5 or basic revision for Higher students.

A great introduction to giant pandas! Tell your pupils about International Panda Day this 16th March with this informative resource. Included: - Fully editable PowerPoint with basic facts about giant pandas, information on adopting a panda and fundraising ideas - Is it a PANDA or a CAT PowerPoint game - Four worksheets covering various abilities (complete the fact sheet, counting and colouring activity, word search, crossword) - Panda mask template for pupils to decorate as imaginatively as possible. This can either be attached to a lolly stick and held or fastened with elastic depending on the size of the child's face. A whole class of these would also make a really attractive display.

Easter Around the World - Research Activities Do you want to broaden your pupils’ knowledge of the world while working on their research skills? This resource is really easy to use in your classroom – there are 16 printable worksheets which cover 15 countries and include a blank sheet if there is a specific country you would like included that is not in the selection. Pupils can then undertake their own research (at home or in class) to find out more about the Easter traditions in these countries. Pupils are asked to • find out what Easter is called in the country • draw and colour the country’s flag • write how Easter is celebrated in the country • add a picture (drawn or printed) to illustrate how Easter in celebrated there The countries included are: • Bermuda • Brazil • Bulgaria • France • Germany • Greece • Hungary • Indonesia • Italy • the Netherlands • Norway • Poland • Scotland • Spain • Sweden This is great way for pupils to research other cultures. All the countries have been chosen as they have a special way to celebrate Easter - my favourite is Bermuda with their kites! On completion, pupils could present their findings to the class or they could be displayed for the whole school to see. Pupils would also love to be shown YouTube clips of these celebrations and could even try to recreate some of them… I’d love to hear if any classes make their own kites!
