We have created a new course based on GCSE spec for KS3 to get them used to exam practice. I have made a number of lessons on the WWI, WWII and the Cold War (A total of 10 hours worth for Cold War). In those 10 hours students practice Edexcel's 4, 12 and 16 mark questions. This is an excellent introductory lesson for KS3 for Year 8 when learning about the Cold War. Differentiated table in the PowerPoint. Please don't forget to rate! :)

Lesson 5/34 of OCR’s ‘American Revolution 1740-1796’. This lesson looks at how the Austrian succession, along with the Seven Years War, saw the first major divide between the British and Americans. It brought into question how successful the British actually were in protecting their colony in America. Originally created for an SLT member of the school while OFSTED were in (excellent feedback). The PowerPoint goes through important democratic issues facing the world today - excellent for the build up of the General Election.

A simple and easy to use writing structure. All my Year 12 and 13s use this to structure an answer. It links to the Edexcel's Mark Scheme Levels so students are aware on what to do!

This Scheme of Work is still relevant today and follows the AQA's specification. The only thing to remember is that the course is now linear. This will focus on US politics as per Paper 2

Battle of Lexington and Concord

Battle activity for students to understand the importance of the Battle of Lexington and Concord. Lesson was also observed as part of my training (in which I received good/outstanding). I also did this lesson on staff who loved it! **Counters not included. Recommend creating blue & red ones for two different sides - students to follow the trail on the map as you go through each event on the PowerPoint**
