A 7-page resource with infographics covering the history of the Olympics, Tokio 2020 games and expenses and costs of organising the games.

Learn Russian through jokes
This is a worksheet based on jokes about lawyers!
The vocabulary is* business* and legal focused and is aimed at level B1 and higher. The jokes can also be used as a conversation starter talking about experiences with lawyers, courts, legal systems of different countries, perceptions and stereotypes of different professions or simply add a bit of humour at the end of a class.
There are 12 jokes with some words and phrases that have to be translated into Russian. The answers are provided.
The second task is sentences for translation into Russian using the words and phrases from exercise 1.
Potentially new phrases are highlighted and explained.

This is an video tutorial where I explain the concept of aspect, draw parallels with the use of English tenses, offer real life situations and examples of usage of perfective and imperfective verbs, look at the formation of perfective verbs and offer some practice.

Advanced Business Russian: 'Mars Chocolate empire - Шоколадная империя Марс'
This worksheet is based on a media publication, which offers a fascinating insight into the secretive world of one of the biggest American family business empires.
It is appropriate for class work as well home reading and is aimed at confident speakers of B2/C1 looking to expand their vocabulary further with a specific focus on business and finance vocabulary.
The text is thought provoking and can be a starting point for discussing such topics as family relationships, generation gap, work ethic, business development and strategy.
Instead of providing translation for potentially unknown words, we included synonyms. This along with the context should be enough to guess the word’s meaning.
The main task is to find Russian equivalents to the English words and phrases in the text.

Business Russian. Comprehension "Dirty money in the UK"
This is a worksheet I developed for my business Russian students aimed at B2/C1 level.
The file contains an interview with a book author. The task is to substitute English words with Russian equivalents. The vocabulary is business and finance focused. Students will also benefit from finding a number of synonymous constructions for the phrases to be translated into English.
If used for self-study, the worksheet will require work with a dictionary or a teacher’s guidance.
While using it for my own lessons, I encouraged students to think of the answers to the questions posed by the journalist in the text before proceeding to reading the author’s answers. This prompted a lively discussion in the group and a bit of a break from a rather intense grammar and vocab exercise.
