I have had great feedback from colleagues about my resources. Some of them are free and some are available to download, alter and use for a small download fee. Hopefully it will save people time! I love teaching and I love making resources. I make resources to use myself, ones that are useful! I have been teaching for a long time. I have taught from reception all the way up- every year group. But my specialist and favourite areas are Years 5 and 6 and my favourite subject is English

Transition Activity- Class Contact for new class KS1/KS2

Here is a class contract that I always use with my KS2 classes at the start of the new academic year in September. It can also be done on a transition day in July. It has all the headings to fill in with your class. I have filled them in with the popular answers my classes typically give and you can edit and change as needed once downloaded. But its good to generate the ideas together for each section and fill them in front of the class. There is space at the bottom to get all members of the class to sign it and it can be mounted and displayed in the classroom and you can refer back to it throughout the year if needed.

Progression in writing Assessment card- Grammar Year 5 (double Sided)

I created these checklist cards as English Coordinator to help embed grammar throughout the school. The children can use them to assess when they have done a piece of writing. I used both the national curriculum and Pie Corbett's progression in writing to put these together. They are very visual and give examples. This is the year 5 one. Had lots of good feedback from our school and cluster from children and staff. https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/richbreeds

I am sharing a unit of work I made based on 'You're a Bad Man Mr Gum' by Andy Stanton. My Year 3s loved this and said it was their favourite work they did all year. I have included loads of Notebook Files. 5 weeks worth of planning, pictures, activities, a who wants to be a millionaire game based on the book that I made and loads of self assessment checklists. Adapt as needed and enjoy!

KS2 Homework Medley sheet - EGYPTIANS

I made this sheet based on the EGYPTIANS topic. The children were to choose 1 activity a week to do at home. There are a range of activities from writing and maths to art and cookery. Lots of them encourage parental involvement. Suitable for KS2. I haveused this with Years 4, 5 and 6

Narrative unit based on 'The Hand' by Guy de Maupassant Upper Ks2-3 Horror genre

I made this unit of work based on 'The Hand' by Guy de Maupassant. It is great to do a short narrative HORROR unit with years 5 and 6 and my children loved it. You can get loads of descriptive writing out of them. The unit lasts 2+ weeks. This pack includes complete planning, 8 notebook files, the full text for the children and an assessment checklist. Hope it's useful to others and can all be adapted as needed. I removed all the names etc from my planning. But I reckon year 5 , 6 and 7 teachers could do a lot with all this ENJOY!!
