The PowerPoint is 43 slides in total and can be used for other business courses, such as GCSE or another exam board. I created it as a nice introduction and welcome to Business Studies so I hope it is useful for you and your students enjoy it! I have used all of the resources I am selling, so they are tried and tested.

Please note, this resource has been updated (January 2025). Assessment objectives and answer techniques have now been added. This is a PowerPoint presentation with the key information about the 3 papers students do for A-level Business Studies with AQA. It is also relevant for other exam boards as it details how to answer Analysis and Evaluation questions, but the links to the practice papers are for AQA. This includes a BONUS PowerPoint with top tips for the students! It has a starter activity, then dives straight into how to answer the 4 main question types (Analyse, Describe, Evaluate and Explain) and what to expect for each paper. There are links to example AQA past papers in the Notes section on the slides. I have found it is better to show the students examples as opposed to just talking about the papers. The next slides focus on how to answer the Analyse and Evaluate questions, which are the big markers (9-25 marks). There is a practice question for each and answer structures they should use. I have included indicative content the marker will be looking for in the answers from the mark schemes. Ideally, they should self-mark or peer-mark their answers to give them more confidence practicing questions without you or another teacher marking it for them. Hopefully you find this useful! I always refer back to these slides.

Take the pressure off and have fun testing your students with this fun quiz! There are 3 rounds: Round 1: Brands 4 questions with guess the logo 4 trivia style questions about brands Round 2: Advertising Slogans 10 questions with guess the advertising slogans Round 3: General Business Trivia 6 various business trivia style questions Every question is worth 1 point and there are 24 questions in total. The quiz is a PowerPoint format and is ready to use straight away, no editing is needed. Answers are provided at the end of each round with animations. It can be used for any age, any business class and any size class. I did this in a tutoring session with 1 student and with a class of 10 students and it worked well both times. They really enjoyed it! It can be done over a whole lesson time of 45 minutes to 1 hour, especially if they are competing over a prize and peer-mark the answers. It’s nice not rushing through it if you have the time.
