The Resources within this shop are all designed for the teaching of Mathematics for those in the age range 7 - 18 years old. Most resources consist of a PowerPoint lesson followed by a worksheet for the students. With over twenty nine years of experience, the powerpoint/worksheets within the shop have been used successfully by myself and colleagues over that time. As a head of department for over 15 years, the department has yearly been judged as adding substantial value to students grades.

Snap or Pairs Here is a printable set of cards which can be used for one of two games. Snap The 54 cards are shuffled and divided equally between two students. Students then turn the cards up one at a time and work out the multiplication (or division) on that card. If that card matches the card on top of another player’s pile, the player who says “snap” first wins the pile of cards. The winner is the person who ends up with the entire pile of cards. Or if you choose to end the game earlier, the player with the most cards. Pairs Alternatively, all 54 cards are placed face down. Players then take it in turns to turn over two cards and work out the value for each card. If the two cards have matching answers the player puts the two cards in front of them as winning cards. This process is continued until all cards have been matched. The winner of the game is the person with the most cards in front of them.

Following on from the lessons which introduce trigonometry to students. These two lessons consist of worked examples using the three trig ratios developed in either year 9 or 8. The introduction lessons are in my shop. I have used this lesson with year 10, having already introduced trigonometry to these students in year 9.

This lesson is aimed at the higher level student. It is designed to be taught after the tree diagram lesson. Probably late into year 10 or early year 11. The worked examples demonstrate how the tree diagram can be used to answer some questions, but also demonstrates another quicker method of dealing with repeated events.

This lesson is a Powerpoint and Worksheet which I have used to teach students how to multiply fractions. This lesson is taught once I have covered addition and subtraction of fraction. Once the worked examples have been covered students are given the worksheet to either complete in class or as homework. Answers to the worksheet are also provided.

With factorising and removing brackets of cubics being new to the GCSE specifications last year I have introduced these two lesson to my class teaching. Starting with removal of brackets students are able to extend from the two brackets situation to the three brackets. The following lesson looks at the more complicated factorising a cubic. Initially starting with the first factor given style of question before looking at factorising with no hint given. Worksheets are given for both lessons which could be used in class or as a piece of homework.

Lesson and worksheet. The lesson consists of worked examples on how we find the inverse of a function. This lesson continues from the lesson on composite functions. The worksheet allows students to work through a number of questions to show their understanding of inverse functions.

Lesson introduces students again to pi (as with the area resource). However this time students are able to work out the formula for the Circumference of a circle if they have already used my resource for the Area of a circle. The lesson has a variety of examples to be answered at the board and ends with a worksheet for students to answer either in class or as a piece of homework.

This Powerpoint consists of a variety of worked examples which demonstrate how we can calculate the mean by using the "fx" column. The lesson starts with students asked to calculate the mean of a large set of data. Next by placing the data into a tally chart it is easy to show how much quicker it is to calculate the mean when presented in this format rather than a list of numbers.

Here is a small group of revision lessons I have recently used for my year 11 students. These have been written with them in mind and cover the types of questions they were struggling with. Generally I tend to go through one or two at the board before they attempt the others. Revision lessons included are Probability tree diagrams Distance speed time Ingredient questions Flow diagrams and some general “wordy” questions that can be troubling for many students.

These 5 lessons introduce students to Ratio and proportion. Lesson 1: Simplifying a ratio and expressing a ratio as a fraction Lesson 2: Expressing as a ratio and simplifying Lesson 3: Dividing into a ratio using the totals in ratio Lesson 4: Dividing into a ratio using one of the given parts Lesson 5: Dividing into a ratio when using the difference between two ratios or the sum of some parts. Each lesson consists of a PowerPoint, printed examples (if preferred ) and a workbook (which I usually print as an A5 booklet). Solutions are given for the workbooks.

This lesson and worksheet teaches students, through worked examples, how to work out missing angles on a straight line by calculation. This Powerpoint is used for students who struggle with Mathematics or as an introduction for younger students. The worksheet also has an answer sheet provided.
