I'm currently teaching 8th grade Spanish. I have taught all levels of Spanish, from kindergarten to high school, at various times in the past 17 years. I have a BA in Spanish and International Relations from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL, and an MA in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain. My shop includes all types of resources for Spanish and French, as well as materials for English Language Arts and ELL.

This presentation includes common stem change verbs grouped as e - ie, e - i, o - ue, and jugar. Each verb slide contains a clip art image and the English word, and the Spanish comes out on mouse click so students have a chance to think of the word. The image slides can be printed and used as colorful flashcards or bulletin board signs, or you can show the PowerPoint presentation in class to introduce vocabulary and use thereafter to review.

The sentences included querer conjugations followed by nouns and infinitives, and the vocabulary and verbs are common words from day to day life. Sample verbs are jugar, comer, tocar and venir. Just photocopy enough for a class set (1 for every 2 students if working in pairs, or 1 per student if working alone), cut and fasten with a paper clip. Distribute to students and challenge them to reassemble the puzzles as quickly as possible. Sample verbs are: pedir, encender, pensar, servir, merendar, despertar, and more. All verbs are listed along side the puzzle in Spanish and English. Students can use the list to practice vocabulary with partners. Each set contains 1 booklet with text and clip art images and the other contains text only so students can sketch and create their own versions of the booklet. Students first read and cut out the vocabulary booklets containing text and images. Students then create their own version using the text only template.
