A selection of compound word cards with pictures. Some with compound word picture, some left for children to write without the final picture clue. Space for children to write the word.
I laminate these cards for the children to write on with whiteboard pens.
Avery label template of EYFS Maths Number statements
I print these labels and use alongside a date stamp and next steps comments in learning journeys / folders / books.
A powerpoint to help blending.
I have created slides with cvc, cvcc and ccvc words using phase 2 set 2 sounds (SATPINMD).
Each word has one slide with sound buttons and a picture and a second animated slide blending the sounds in the direction they are said (left to right).
I found these helpful when teaching my class to blend.
Year 1 statments checklist on one page
I stick on inside of English / Maths books to tick off / highlight each term while marking so I can easily see gaps.
Instructions for introducing super sentences to children for sentence building, handwriting and letter formation practice.
I find this really successful helping emergent writers with letter formation, word building and finger spaces and more able children begin to write their own sentences.
I write the words on the line so they can copy them in the right place as it is not an independent writing exercise, it is more focused on the handwriting and letter formation so copy writing isn’t a problem.
Powerpoint of colour coded pictures with stem sentences that support Mastering Number in EYFS. Colours match the Numberblocks characters.
Each slide shows a pictoral representation of the stem sentences e.g. I am 4, I am 1,2,3,4…blocks.
I have used these as quick recall for each number to familiarise the children with using the number blocks, but also to learn about parts of a number for each number.
Bundles available with other numbers and mastering number slides.

Adding 3 digits and (multiples of) tens, adding 3 digits and ones, adding and subtracting 3 digits and multiples of tens, add / subtract 100s, doubling by multiplying 8 and counting in 50s.
A set of letter recognition peg cards (upper case to lower case) and initial sound picture peg cards.
Cut out and laminate cards then provide small pegs for children to select the correct letters / sounds.
A fun maths activity to practise number recognition, counting to 20, ordering numbers to 20 and writing numbers.
I introduced this in a live lesson with my Reception children and they really enjoyed doing it.
Prompt cards for a lanyard with the new development matters statements and summarised support statements.
I laminate these and clip them with a ring clip or carabiner for adults in class to use in observations or just as a reference for activities.
I am working on all the other areas, so will be uploading these when they are done.
Phase 2 missing sound card strips - I laminate the missing sounds strips so the children can use white board pens or they can just be printed as sheets. The children love filling these in.
Captions using phase 2 sounds. I use the caption sheets with the sound prompts on the top so children don’t have to find sound mats but these could be cut off.
Sort the parts of a pumpkin - laminate the sheets and let the children disect a pumpkin. Can they sort the different parts?
Measure pumpkins - provide unifix or multilink cubes for children to measure pumpkins and write down how many cubes they are tall / wide.
Colour your pumpkin sheet.
Trace and write sheet.
Phase 3 trigraphs air, ure and ear real or alien cards with sound buttons for playing buried treasure.
I laminated these cards and either use them in continuous provision independent activities or I have used them outdoors in a buried treasure game where the children pick a card out of a basket and run to the bin or the treasure chest to put the cards in - they can do it as a race or maybe to a timer.
I added check boxes so whiteboard pens could be used for children to read and check independently (if laminated).
They could also be used as real / alien flash cards.
