Copthall School

Copthall School prides itself on educating 21st century women for successful careers in STEM, human, social and health sciences, performing arts and creative industries. We have approximately 1000 students on role, 120 of which are enrolled in our thriving Sixth Form which is in the top 12% of schools for A Level results. We offer both A-Level and Vocational pathways and we boast an excellent success rate in University applications.

Situated in Mill Hill, Barnet we have fantastic outdoor space as well as access to sporting facilities at Stone X Stadium and Copthall Leisure Centre. Our indoor facilities are equally impressive with a specialist dance studio with sprung flooring, a Music technology suite and of course, well-equipped and spacious classrooms.

Our Teaching and Learning vision has been instrumental in ensuring that all our students receive an excellent education which is enhanced by the wealth of extra-curricular opportunities available.

We have a unique partnership with Mill Hill Independent School which benefits staff and students at both schools through a range of CPD opportunities, sporting activities and occasions for a shared curricular.

Copthall retained its ‘Good’ judgement from Ofsted in November 2023. Inspectors key findings were:

- Pupils are safe and well cared for

- The school community is harmonious, reflecting the learning experienced by all about equality and diversity

- The school has high expectations for pupils to achieve well

- The curriculum, including in the sixth form, is well planned and sequenced around important subject knowledge
