Who are we?

Taaleem was founded in 2004 in Dubai and is one of the largest education providers in the United Arab Emirates with more than 9,000 students attending our 11 international schools and pre-schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Our main activity is the development and management of high quality early childhood, primary and secondary schools in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

We also only recruit the best international teachers who can deliver our international curricula in a creative and highly engaging manner. Taaleem, which means 'education' in Arabic, is committed to inspiring students helping them to identify and develop their passions and talents.

Dubai British School

Dubai British School is a thriving British international school, located in The Springs area of Dubai’s Emirates Hills. A Taaleem school, DBS offers high quality education to over a thousand students aged 3 to 18. Dubai British School is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS)

Our Curriculum

The curriculum at DBS is modelled on the National Curriculum for England, significantly enhanced by ‘Wow Learning’, the study of Arabic throughout and a challenging set of GCSE and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. We welcome a wide range of students to study a curriculum, which is designed to extend and excite all of them, whatever their interests or ability. The opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied extra-curricular activities programme (ECA).
