About Melton Vale Sixth Form College
Melton Vale Sixth Form College (MV16) is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education centre in Leicestershire, serving students from the age of 16 to 18. It belongs to the Nova Education Trust.
MV16 opened in 2011. It offers A Level and BTEC courses, which range from photography to physics. Facilities include a Learning Resource Centre (LRC) which is equipped with library books, computers and wireless internet to allow for students to bring their own laptops in to work from.

Values and vision
Melton Vale Sixth Form College wants all students to develop as responsible, caring and accepting members of society who treat each other with respect and kindness. The college’s aim is for pupils to achieve to the highest of their capability and works to accomplish this through providing them with the required knowledge, skills and understanding of their chosen subjects and career goals. It is important for the college that students are supported by a strong and effective leadership team and works to employ outstanding teaching staff. The college nurtures students’ creativity and individuality and encourages them to get involved as active members of the college community—offering a broad range of extra curricular clubs and societies for them to join. Leadership skills are developed through an active Student Voice. MV16 wants students to have as many opportunities as possible during their time studying and arranges regular careers talks and guidance from gap year organisations and local companies. Visits to universities are also organised to help students decide which path to take after leaving the learning centre.
